The HXD 208 features a full-width deck that extends over the tires. Unlike standard equipment trailers that limit you to 82" between the fenders, the HXD 208 gives you the full 102" legal width, allowing you to haul wide-track machinery that simply won't fit on standard trailers.

The "208" package is a major structural jump, upgrading you to dual 8,000 lb axles. For 2026, these are typically torsion axles with oil-bath hubs. Torsion suspension provides a much smoother ride for your equipment, and the oil-bath system makes checking your wheel bearing lubrication as easy as looking through a clear cap.

Standard on the HXD 208 for 2026 are ST215/75R17.5 18-ply radial tires. These are commercial-grade, all-steel radials designed for extreme loads. They offer a massive safety margin over the 14-ply tires found on lighter models, drastically reducing the risk of a blowout under the weight of a 9-ton machine.

Because the deck is 102" wide, the tires sit underneath it. Diamond C equips the HXD with 10-gauge structural drive-over fenders. These are reinforced to handle the weight of your machine driving directly over them, and they are finished with a non-slip surface for safety during loading.

The HXD 208 is built on Diamond C’s patent-protected Engineered Beam. Laser-cut and tapered to be strongest where the load is heaviest, this frame is lighter yet significantly more rigid than traditional hot-rolled I-beams, allowing you to carry a higher actual payload (roughly 13,000 lbs depending on length).

Standard for 2026 on the HXD 208 is a 6' stationary front deck with an 18' tilt bed (24' total). This allows you to store buckets, attachments, or pallets of material on the front while still utilizing the Hydraulic Dampening Cylinder for a smooth, ramp-free loading experience on the tilt section.

To manage the increased tongue weight of an 18K trailer, Diamond C includes the Simol 15,000 lb 2-speed jack. This allows you to shift gears for faster cranking when empty or more power when loaded. Many dealer-stock units are also arriving with the 20K Hydraulic Jack upgrade for push-button convenience.
