Unlike many tandem utility trailers that use standard angle iron, the GTU is built on a 4" Engineered Channel Frame. This provides a rigid, professional-grade backbone that prevents the "frame twist" often seen in cheaper trailers when one side is loaded more heavily than the other.

The "235" package denotes dual 3,500 lb axles, both equipped with electric brakes. For 2026, these are typically Lippert Super Lube axles with 5-leaf slipper spring suspension, offering a much smoother tow and better weight distribution than a single-axle setup.

Standard on the GTU is the EZ Bi-Fold Gate. It’s spring-assisted for "one-finger" operation and folds in the middle to stay below the truck’s slipstream.

While many competitors use thin square tubing or angle iron, the GTU features a 13-gauge Pipe Top Rail. It is significantly more resistant to bending and serves as a continuous, heavy-duty tie-down point for hooks and straps along the entire perimeter.

Every GTU 235 comes with a built-in storage box integrated into the tongue. It’s lockable and weather-sealed, perfect for keeping your chains, straps, and hitch pins secure and out of the elements.

To keep the bed area clear and the sides looking sleek, Diamond C uses a Retractable Cable Winch spare mount tucked under the frame. It functions exactly like a pickup truck's spare tire system, keeping the tire protected from UV damage and out of your way until you need it.

Even though the trailer is rated for 7,000 lbs, it comes with a 10,000 lb rated Demco EZ-Latch. This adjustable-height coupler automatically latches when dropped onto the ball, ensuring a safe, "no-guesswork" connection every single time.
