Wrapped Tongue (12'–14' Models) On lengths 12 feet and longer, the 4" channel tongue is "wrapped" back into the frame.

The Benefit: Many budget trailers just butt-weld the tongue to the front crossmember. A wrapped tongue distributes the towing stress further back into the trailer frame, preventing the front of the trailer from cracking under heavy tongue weight.
